 I experienced one instance of phishing just this last August. Around August 7th, 2024 I got a notification on a phone web browser that a virus was threatening to release on my phone unless I entered my account information. So, I did and told my mom about the next day and I realized how bad I messed up and was tricked into giving up that information. I really thought that my computer was going to catch a virus, so I panicked and gave up my account information. My father and I went to BECU on August 9th and got it sorted out. The people who did it got caught online and I got my money back on August 20th.  I have not faced other instances of cybercrimes. There are managers who hire new employees based on thorough review of their resumes. In the next decade or two, AI will be able to screen resumes on a machine and decide whether or not to hire that person for the job. Receptionist or Secretary jobs may completely be erased from the job market because a well-trained AI could do repetitive tasks such as that. AI can save important computer data, manage files, make phone calls, type, and process paperwork just like a person can. Everyone working in tech, programming, and accountant jobs will be let go. These people will be unemployed because a machine took over their jobs they had been in for years' worth of retirement. How is it that Yahoo is still accessible to users and Prodigy, CompuServ, AOL, Delphi, and Genie are not from this Dot.com Boom? What was the Second International World Wide Web about and what were the results of that conference in 1994? To me it seems that even though these companies were slow during the boom from 1995-1997, they still managed to have hundreds of thousands of users during at least the first year. I see the process of funding a business similar to those who go on Shark Tank. Money is fuel or food for a business to stay afloat. You cannot have a business succeed without money in funding to get started. I wrote down three questions for Eric Hanberg. First, is AI smarter than us or only as smart as us? Second, would we train AI to have human emotions? Third, how many people would have AI doing tasks for them, instead of doing it themselves?  I learned that 75% of U.S. households have Amazon Prime. That means that people can go online and buy whatever they want. When they go back there is a feature saying "other things you might like" and that would encourage customers to buy from the company again based on their demographic and personal interests. It was amazing how since 2009, Hanberg's book publishing company slowly grew bigger and bigger to have sold 2,146 copies of one book by 2021. I have not met anyone before who had successfully started a company up from the ground and made it a reality.  I see Tom and Kaleil as opposites. Kaleil seems to be more calm and wanting govworks.com to be one of the first websites people go to for anything related to the government as well as parking tickets. Tom is more interested in building plans and having them online that the company saves on a server, putting it on a CD. Tom seems more rigid, even with the scene brushing his daughter's hair. Over the course of the documentary, I saw that Kaleil is more likely to get angry in a more private group of friends when the company has setbacks.  I felt that the Online Scavenger hunt yesterday was fast paced. It felt that we getting one URL after the other in less than an hour's time. I learned some odd, obscure things from the 18 tasks we were supposed to find on the paper. I learned who Jimmy Buffet was, housing options on Redfin and Zillow, and what companies different search engines are apart of. The more answers I found with Abril Cota, i realized that I may not have found the real answers to the questions. If we ask the internet more in depth questions than the ones on the assignment paper, I do not know if the information would be accurate enough to answer it. Some of the tasks listed, my partner and I either were not able to find a URL to a task or we had to look long and hard for one. I believe that it is us who put answers into those links in the first place for other people to find on their computers. The Internet is a global network of interconnected computers using protocols such as Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol to communicate. They had email and were able to share files. The World Wide Web is a service provided by the Internet for a broader audience. Users can access and share information through web browsers and hyperlinks. It was formatted in HTML or hypertext markup language. It used the specific protocol HTTP or hypertext transfer protocol for accessing and transferring web content. Communication between computers on the Internet is important because that is how two co-workers communicate back and forth to each other to finish an important job.
